Staff

We are very proud of our director and teachers at Meridian Hills Cooperative Nursery School & Kindergarten. Our staff has a reputation for working very well together as a team and we appreciate all that they do for our families.

Mrs. Ginny Hacker, our Director, is an experienced educator with a rich history of involvement at Meridian Hills. Ginny has a Bachelor's and Master's degree in elementary education with a special endorsement in kindergarten from Butler University. While her two boys were enrolled in MHCNS, Ginny served as a housekeeping chair, a class group chair and as president. She later joined our staff, teaching both a threes and a fours/fives class. She now serves as our Director while at the same time is the Executive Director of the Washington Township Schools Foundation. Her dedication, experience and true commitment to the education of young children make her a most valuable asset to our school.

Ms. Mindy Hutchinson started teaching at Meridian Hills in 1999. After four years of teaching the four to five-year-old class, Mindy started our Kindergarten. She comes to MHCNS with a varied, skilled background with an undergraduate degree from Indiana University in elementary education. Mindy also holds a Master's of Education in Instructional Leadership and Reading Specialization from the University of Illinois at Chicago. She has taught third, sixth, and seventh grades in both Indianapolis and Chicago.

Mrs. Carol Shipley brings her past experience as a parent, social worker, substitute teacher, volunteer, and her gentle love of children to make her an excellent addition to our teaching staff. Carol received her Bachelor of Science degree in social work from Miami University in Ohio. She is in her seventh year of teaching with us and also serves as our assistant director.

Mrs. Linda Foley, herself a 1966-67 alumnus of MHCNS, comes to us with experience as a Lawrence Township preschool teacher, nanny, and former co-op parent. Linda received her Bachelor of Science degree in 1993 in early childhood education with a special education minor from Butler University. She also student taught at MHCNS in 1993 under the direction of Shari Robinson, our former director of 25 years.
